Host a SPEED Training Workshop

As a host, you are responsible for ensuring that the event is a well organized experience for all attendees – we’ll do the heavy lifting!

The biggest benefit to hosting a class is that we will come to you, and you get to attend for free!

We are excited to work with you, and hope to schedule a class soon.

Host Responsibilities

Attendance

This is your main duty as the host, because we most likely do not have relationships with the agents in your area.  We manage the interest on this website, so there is always a current count of committed agents in your area.

Our best hosts stay on top of the agents via email, text, and calls.  There is a lot of work involved in herding cats (agents) to register and attend.  The minimum number of attendees we require for a SPEED Training class out of state is 25 (not including you & your staff).  I will send you an email to send out to agents in your area, and I will also send an announcement to my email list.

Keep in mind that to ensure at least 25 total attendees, we will probably need to register roughly 30 attendees since last minute cancellations will happen.  Sales Leaders should not email the invitation to their territory, but some will call their top agents to make them aware of the Workshop.

Location

The most common location for a Workshop is a hotel meeting space. Many times, with a hotel space, you will be able to get a discounted or even free meeting space rate if you also have the attendees use a room block to reserve their hotel stay at that location as well.

Other meeting space options include: a glass company, local body shop or restoration company’s classroom, a local agent’s office building, country club, library, or community clubhouse meeting area, etc.

Unfortunately, we cannot use a corporate location due to this being an outside business activity.

Sponsors

SPEED is able to keep our registration costs low because of local sponsors who pay for much of our overhead.  In exchange for a few minutes in front of our group, sponsors pay for everything – the venue expense, lunch, snacks, printing, and more.  As a host, you are responsible for partnering with sponsor(s) to help us pull the event together.

Previous sponsors include:
Glass Companies – Safelite, Abra, Glass USA
Restoration Companies – ServPro, ServiceMaster, or a local vendor
Roofers and Contractors
Rental Car Companies

Once you have a partner in mind, simply direct them to our

Sponsor Page for more information.

Host Benefits

As a “Thank You” for helping us organize the event, you and your team will attend the Workshop free of charge.  The bigger the class – the bigger the reward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I split hosting duties?

Yes!  Each host will come with a team member, and the size of the class will determine additional free people.

What if we have the class at another agent’s office?

It is up to you if you want to split the hosting duties with the agent who has the location.

Can you train my study group?

All SPEED Training Workshops are open to every agent.  We have alumni in most parts of the country, and we would not want anyone to miss out.  If you have a large enough group, we will consider a private training.

How much time is involved?

It really depends on your network.  If you have influential relationships with agents in your area, you may be able to send a couple emails to get the required attendance.

Can I extend my products instead of bringing more team members?

Yes!  Just let us know how many people are attending from your office, and we’ll extend your products.

How long will it take to book a class?

We typically book a class 6-8 weeks after we have the 25 person commitment.

Testimonials

Sean and his team have this down to a science. Our local partners were happy to host and took care of the facility and lunch, all I had to do was coordinate agents who want to better the systems, processes and efficiencies of their agencies. 5/5 would host again.

Hosting for Speed Training ended up being a win, win, win.

First because I was able to bring 6 of my 7 team members because I set it up locally.

Second because I didn’t incur the travel & tuition expenses that I did when I attended our first class out of town.

Third because I was able to get better “buy in” from my team by having more of them there to see it first-hand. And attending the training for a second time, I was amazed how much more I picked up on.
